Nikon SB-400 Speedlight + Extras

I am selling my Nikon SB-400 speedlight as I am currently upgrading from my current flash kit to a new one =)

This speedlight is as new with no damage what so ever, and works perfectly with any digital SLR. It is a perfect choice for any beginning photography wanting to get into using an external flash, as it has approximately twice the power of a built-in flash, but more importantly it also has the ability to tilt at 60, 75 and 90 degrees for bounced, even lighting.

Included with the SB-400 speedlight is a set of 6 rechargeable Kodak AA’s (rated at 2000mAH) and their charger. The speedlight runs on 2 AA’s at a time, so this equates to three full sets of batteries.

As a bonus to the flash, aa’s and charger, i’ve also included a genuine Stofen omni-bounce diffuser (OB-400), which fits only on this speedlight, thus no longer needing it myself.

Price is approximately half of the retail price for a new SB-400, and with the 6 aa’s, charger and diffuser included, this is a deal that any beginning photographer should take a good look at =)

The flash head zoom covers the range 24mm to 105mm and an integrated diffusion panel allows extended wide-angle coverage to 14mm. When attached to digital EOS cameras with smaller than full-frame sensors (such as the EOS-1D Mark II N, EOS 20D and EOS 350D) the Speedlite 430EX gives a more accurate flash coverage by detecting the model to which it is attached and automatically narrowing the angle of coverage. This has the effect of eliminating light loss in peripheral areas and extending the effective flash range.
The Speedlite 430EX automatically transfers colour temperature information to recent models of digital SLR cameras . The camera then sets the white balance optimally for the flash shot. This feature works when the camera’s white balance mode is set to Auto White Balance (AWB) or Flash white balance mode.
The Speedlite 430EX is fully compatible with the distance linked E-TTL II system found on recent EOS cameras, and supports other EOS cameras that do not support E-TTL II, when required. master.
